Biography (Under construction)

Nepharius started rhyming in the late 90's. For the curious he is White/Samoan. Nepharius was born February 1984 in Auckland, New Zealand and then a few months later moved to Compton, California then Long Beach to Carson and now currently resides in Cerritos, California. Nepharius considers himself an underground artist with a lot of influences from all types of genres of music from rap, rock, heavy metal, classic rock, contemporary and many others. The Doors is where he grasps a lot of his inspiration from.

In 2002, Nepharius released Dark Days, I Seek Knowledge. Very obscure release mainly for himself and to have a collection of all his then current work. Containing mostly dark tracks and questions that he hoped to have answers to. The album was recorded using a basic computer microphone and Cool Edit Pro, so one can imagine the quality, but still it was the first step.

In between the release of that album and then the ultimate release of Rhyme(s) in Ve(a)in(s) in 2004, he had numerous collaborations with artists from around the United States and abroad such as Canada, Russia, Germany and Europe. Mainly collaborating with HizEternal, Mystery and Mass Conceptz who went on to create songs such as Medievel Torture (1-2), Our Words, Galaxy Hoppin, U.F.O.'s, Anarchy, Don't Trust Anybody and many others. He also met Maineman, DJ Phrancis, Treazy, JYoung, MIP 1000, Veinz, Smo and many others.

2004 marked the release of his second album Rhyme(s) in Ve(a)in(s). A complex title but with alot of meaning. Rhymes in Vain - Meaning the way people now listen to rap is to hear the melody but do not want to understand the meaning, only expecting simple meanings and simple rhymings, he felt as if he was Rhyming in Vain. Rhyme in veins - meant his words and his music embodied him as a whole and what he said came from himself as if he were bleeding on the track. The album featured other artists such as Mystery, Halusination, Rasputon, and Many Stylez. It consisted of tracks that were very varied in style and decree. To this day Nepharius feels that he could have done a better job on the album and plans on following it up with a more complete, consistant album.

After the release of Rhyme(s) in Ve(a)in(s), he started working on collaboration albums with DJ Phranics, releaseing a track for the game Desert Combat, featuring on other albums and mixtapes. He released a collabo album with Mystery titled: Anarchy. Nepharius is now in the middle of working with Maineman who combined to make a group called, Logical Fear, and their first album is called Ministry of Truth, influenced by the George Orwell book 1984.

Simply Complex is Nepharius's new album that is now in the works and will be released in the year 2009, he promises that it will be well worth the wait...
